Acciones y complicaciones de la laparoscopia. Revisión de 3115 laparoscopias

Abstract

En el servicio de Gastroenterología del Hospital Militar Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Dr. Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja de la ciudad de Camagüey se realizó un estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo y longitudinal de las complicaciones ocurridas durante la realización de la laparoscopia en el período correspondido desde 1998 al 2002. El universo estuvo constituido por 3 115 laparoscopias y se diferenciaron las complicaciones mayores y menores según la necesidad o no de intervención quirúrgica. Ocurrieron un total de 64 accidentes menores (2, 05 %), los cuales se produjeron durante la realización del neumoperitoneo o la introducción del trocar y se produjo un accidente mayor (0, 03 %) que requirió tratamiento quirúrgico. No hubo mortalidad en el estudio realizado .No se conocieron las posibles complicaciones de la laparoscopia, aún en manos experimentadas.
