Efectividad de la acupuntura en pacientes con sacrolumbalgia aguda. Policlínico de urgencias Florida, 2001

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio explicativo, longitudinal y prospectivo para determinar la efectividad del tratamiento acupuntural en los pacientes que acudieron al policlínico principal de urgencias Martha Elvira González González de Florida, afectados con sacrolumbalgia aguda en el 2001.El universo estuvo constituido por 40 pacientes y la muestra fue representada por el 100 %. Los datos fueron extraídos de una encuesta diseñada al efecto y en ella se reflejaron las siguientes variables: edad y sexo, tratamiento anterior, reacciones adversas, frecuencia de tratamiento y efectividad .Dicha terapéutica fue aplicada fundamentalmente al sexo masculino, 24 casos para el 60 %, predominaron 32 enfermos que recibieron tratamiento anterior, cifra que representó el 80 %, no existieron reacciones adversas en 36 de los pacientes tratados (90 %), luego de cinco a 10 sesiones de tratamiento logramos la mejoría total en 32 pacientes (80 %).
