Labor del anestesiólogo en el Hospital General Docente Martin Chang Puga. 2000-2002

Abstract

Para demostrar la labor del anestesiólogo en el Hospital General Docente Martín Chang Puga en Nuevitas, Camagüey, se realizó un estudio descriptivo durante el trienio 2000-2002. El método anestésico general más usado fue el endovenoso al aplicarse en 66, 01 % de los pacientes. Entre los regionales predominó la anestesia subaracnoidea con 72, 55 % y los otros tipos de anestesia empleados (N=187) se enuncian en orden decreciente: acupuntura, local más sedación y combinada. De los bloqueos terapéuticos realizados el peridural fue el más aplicado. Fuera del servicio se realizaron 733 procederes médicos que incluyeron abordajes venosos periféricos y profundos, punciones lumbares y reanimaciones cardiopulmonares. Se recomienda la necesidad de recoger en cada institución el trabajo desempeñado por los anestesiólogos para mostrar la realidad estadística de nuestros servicios y el esfuerzo real de nuestros profesionales.
