Utilidad de la oxigenación hiperbárica en cirugía general
Abstract
La terapia con concentraciones elevadas de oxígeno se aplica desde la década del 30, y su historia está llena de seguidores y detractores, estos últimos son más numerosos. Como consecuencia de estos avatares, los cirujanos, al igual que otros especialistas, no tenemos una idea muy favorable de esta terapia, se prescribe en muchos casos a petición de los pacientes, aun sin conocer su verdadero efecto terapéutico. El objetivo de esta revisión es repasar los modos de aplicación de la oxigenación hiperbárica, sus efectos fisiológicos, efectos secundarios, indicaciones y contraindicaciones.Downloads
