Infecciones de transmisión sexual en adolescentes. Municipio céspedes

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal sobre el comportamiento de las infecciones de transmisión sexual en las adolescentes del municipio Céspedes, desde enero del 2000 hasta septiembre del 2002. Se utilizaron las encuestas epidemiológicas del departamento de control de enfermedades transmisibles. De los 80 pacientes encuestados, 34 eran adolescentes (42, 5 %), el 58, 8 % pertenecía al sexo femenino, el 26, 4 % tenía 17 años, pero un 17, 7 % de 12-14 años; el total de los jóvenes comenzó su actividad sexual ante de los 14 años; un 35, 3 % padeció blenorragia con significación estadística (P=0.003), el Papiloma Viral Humano con el 20, 6 %. Hubo un predominio del sexo femenino, la edad de 17 años fue la más frecuente, el inicio sexual precoz se vio en todos los pacientes, la blenorragia y las infecciones víricas fueron las más frecuentes.
