Factores de riesgo de la hipertensión arterial inducida por el embarazo en la comuna Limbé, 2001

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio epidemiológico, retrospectivo, a 51 pacientes que desarrollaron hipertensión arterial inducida por el embarazo en la Comuna Limbé, Departamento Norte, República de Haití, desde marzo a octubre de 2001, con el objetivo de identificar algunos de los factores de riesgos biológicos y sociales en esta enfermedad, y relacionar su comportamiento con el Test de Gant positivo. Se encontró que la mayoría de las pacientes con hipertensión arterial inducida por el embarazo fueron nulíparas (66.6 %), seguido de la malnutrición y las edades extremas, también hubo un gran porcentaje de nivel escolar bajo y malas condiciones socioeconómicos. Se demostró la relación entre la presencia de factores de riesgo y el Test de Gant positivo.
