Clasificación actualizada de los factores de riesgo del pie diabético

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio prospectivo, descriptivo y analítico en el policlínico Ignacio Agramonte de Camagüey en el año 2002. El universo estuvo constituido por todos los pacientes diabéticos dispensarizados. La muestra fue de 515 pacientes .Se clasificaron los grupos de factores de riesgo: macroangiopáticos y microangiopáticos, mecánicos, neuropáticos, los que predisponen a la infección y otros. En el primer grupo predominó la obstrucción arterial de miembros inferiores en los mayores (36, 2 %) y la edad en los menores (79, 4 %). En los microangiopáticos, mecánicos, neuropáticos, los predisponentes a la infección y otros factores de riesgo, prevalecieron la hiperglicemia (20, 5 %), el exceso de peso corporal (62, 5 %), la neuropatía periférica (47, 2 %), las lesiones previas (28, 9 %) y la educación angiológica deficiente (24, 5 %), respectivamente. Se aplicó distribución de frecuencia en el procesamiento de los datos.
