Absceso retrofaríngeo postraumático. Reporte de un caso

Abstract

El traumatismo esofágico se considera una de las más complejas lesiones y su diagnóstico y manejo es de gran dificultad. En muchas ocasiones se realiza un diagnóstico tardío, cuando ya se han evidenciado signos o síntomas propios de las complicaciones. Resulta de máximo interés conocer cómo proceder en nuestro afán diario de salvar vidas. Se realiza una revisión breve del tema absceso retroesofágico y perforación esofágica traumática y se presenta un caso de un adulto joven atendido en nuestro centro con estas lesiones y con una evolución muy favorable, luego del tratamiento quirúrgico de urgencia y tratamiento conservador de una fístula esofágica cervical.
