Comportamiento del adenocarcinoma renal en Camagüey

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal sobre el adenocarcinoma renal en la provincia de Camagüey; Cuba, en una serie de 101 pacientes desde el 1ro de enero de 1992 a enero de 2002. El diagnóstico se fundamentó en los estudios histopatológicos de los pacientes intervenidos quirúrgicamente y fallecidos por esta enfermedad, así como por exámenes imagenológicos y de laboratorio que pudieran orientar en el diagnóstico de esta entidad. Se insistió en la frecuencia en que se presenta esta neoplasia en los servicios de medicina interna de nuestro hospital, la cual se caracteriza por síntomas variados y específicos, por lo que es importante que los médicos de familia, clínicos, urólogos y todas las especialidades que tienen que ver en el diagnóstico y tratamiento no quirúrgico, incluyendo los radiólogos y oncólogos, la tengan en cuenta.
