Compresa quirúrgica retenida en cavidad durante 14 años. Reporte de un caso

Abstract

Se presenta una paciente blanca, de 52 años de edad, tratada en el servicio de Cirugía General del Hospital Militar Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Dr. Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja de Camagüey, que acudió con dos orificios en el abdomen por los que salía un líquido muy fétido y orinaba con el mismo olor. Se realizó tratamiento quirúrgico a varias fístulas estercoráceas abdominales y vaginales y se encontró durante la laparotomía una compresa olvidada en cavidad desde hacía 14 años a consecuencia de una histerectomía previa. En la resección del colon afectado se detectó además un tumor en íntima relación con el textiloma, que resultó ser un adenocarcinoma según el estudio histológico.
