Luxación traumática del globo ocular al seno maxilar. Reporte de un caso

Abstract

Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 73 años de edad con trauma orbitofacial y luxación del globo ocular derecho en el seno maxilar. Entre los métodos diagnósticos empleados, se destacó la Tomografía Axial Computadorizada como el de mayor utilidad. Se presenta la clínica y se describe la técnica quirúrgica utilizada para la colocación del globo ocular, en su posición anatómica en la órbita con preservación de sus estructuras vasculares, nerviosas y musculares. El prolapso completo del globo ocular en el seno maxilar es inusual y requiere ser tratado precozmente con una cirugía extensa.
