Comportamiento de algunos factores de riesgo de disfonía en maestros del municipio Camagüey

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio de observación analítica, longitudinal y retrospectivo de casos controles no pareados, en maestros de diferentes niveles de enseñanza del municipio Camagüey, desde enero a diciembre de 2004, con el objetivo de determinar el comportamiento de algunos factores de riesgo de la disfonía funcional crónica ocupacional. El universo estuvo constituido por 2776 maestros estratificados por cada nivel de enseñanza, a los cuales se le aplicó un examen foniátrico y una encuesta epidemiológica. Clasificaron como factores de riesgo el tabaquismo, el antecedente patológico personal de laringitis, el impartir clases continuas durante la mañana y más de 35h de clases a la semana, así como la indisciplina del alumnado y el ser maestro del nivel primario de enseñanza. Se destacó que el 100 % de los maestros encuestados no se realizaron chequeo médico pre-empleo ni chequeos médicos periódicos y no recibieron entrenamiento para el uso correcto de la voz.
