Mixoma auricular izquierdo: presentación de dos casos

Abstract

RESUMEN

Introducción: los tumores cardíacos primarios son poco frecuentes en todas las edades, se reporta una incidencia en la población general del 0.002 %, muchos de ellos son hallazgos del estudio post morten.
Caso clínico: se describen dos casos a los cuales se les diagnosticó tumor cardíaco primario por ecocardiografía bidimensional, únicos, mixomas y de localización en aurícula izquierda. Los síntomas generales fueron la primera manifestación clínica de la enfermedad. Se realizó tratamiento quirúrgico con resección completa del tumor, en uno de los pacientes se presentó evidencia ecocardiográfica de recidiva tumoral al segundo año de seguimiento, donde fue necesario reintervención quirúrgica. No se presentaron fallecidos.
