Factores de riesgo del cáncer de cuello uterino

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio de casos y controles pareado 1:1 para establecer los factores de riesgo de cáncer cervicouterino en el Distrito Joaquín de Agüero del municipio Camagüey, desde octubre de 2002 hasta abril de 2004 en pacientes diagnosticados con dicha afección. Fueron estudiados 31 casos y 31 controles a partir de los registros oficiales de citologías orgánicas anormales del distrito y los expedientes clínicos de los Hospitales Ginecobstétrico y Oncológico de Camagüey, complementados con una encuesta. Para el procesamiento de los datos se utilizaron los métodos estadísticos automatizados Microstat y Epidat. El 51, 62 % de los casos tenía nivel escolar bajo, el 96, 78 % tuvo tres o más compañeros sexuales y el 48.38 % fumaba. También fueron factores de riesgo las primeras relaciones sexuales en la adolescencia y haber tenido tres o más partos, no se presentaron de igual forma el uso de anticonceptivos orales y el papiloma viral humano, influidos probablemente por el azar.
