Divertículo duodenal: una entidad a considerar. Reporte de un caso

Abstract

El duodeno constituye la segunda localización más frecuente de los divertículos en el tubo digestivo, sólo un grupo muy limitado de pacientes refieren síntomas, el tratamiento quirúrgico se realiza en el 1 % de los pacientes. Se presenta un paciente masculino, de 59 años de edad, con dolor abdominal y sangramiento digestivo alto en repetidas ocasiones. El estudio documentó la presencia del divertículo duodenal, se intervino quirúrgicamente y se le realizó diverticulectomía simple. Tuvo evolución postoperatoria favorable y en la actualidad se mantiene asintomático. Se relacionaron los elementos fisiopatológicos, estrategia para el diagnóstico y las variantes quirúrgicas, de acuerdo con la literatura internacional.
