Comportamiento de la hipertensión arterial en los adolescentes

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo con el objetivo de identificar el comportamiento de la hipertensión arterial en los adolescentes de dos consultorios del médico de la familia del Policlínico Universitario Tula Aguilera Céspedes de Camagüey, desde agosto de 2005 hasta enero de 2006. De 173 adolescentes encuestados se encontraron 17 con hipertensión arterial, éstos constituyeron la muestra de estudio. La encuesta fue el registro primario. Los datos se procesaron de forma automatizada. Entre los principales resultados se encontró que el 9, 82 % de adolescentes resultó hipertenso. Se afectó más el sexo masculino y el grupo de edades de 15 a 19 años con 64, 70 % y 70, 50 % respectivamente. Predominaron los obesos y sobrepeso con un 35, 29 % y 29, 41 %. Presentó antecedentes patológicos familiares de hipertensión arterial el 76, 47 % y factores de riesgo de la enfermedad el 82, 30 % Se concluyó que los adolescentes con uno o más factores de riesgo padecieron de la enfermedad.
