La equinoterapia en el tratamiento de la discapacidad infantil
Abstract
La equinoterapia ha sido un procedimiento empleado a lo largo de la historia de la Medicina en el tratamiento de diversas enfermedades. A partir de 1990 su empleo en el tratamiento de la discapacidad infantil se ha incrementado. La evidencia científica documentada hasta el presente no permite establecer conclusiones definitivas en cuanto a su valor en el tratamiento de la discapacidad infantil, aunque las experiencias referidas por diferentes autores, demuestran que es un proceder no invasivo, y una alternativa beneficiosa en la atención de la discapacidad infantil, mejorando los aspectos motores, emocionales, cognoscitivos y de socialización. Se realiza una revisión bibliográfica teniendo en cuenta la experiencia de diferentes autores al respecto.Downloads
