Oclusión dentaria. Reflexiones más que conjeturas

Abstract

Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica actualizada de treinta y cinco documentos sobre oclusión dentaria y dentro de ella, las tendencias conceptuales, la problemática de la Odontología moderna, la posición articular óptima, los contactos dentarios funcionales óptimos y la dirección y magnitud de la fuerza aplicada en los dientes. Se pretende ampliar los conocimientos del personal de Estomatología sobre el tema, hacer énfasis en la necesidad de la actividad profesional del estomatólogo para enriquecer progresivamente su accionar y pueda, a través del estudio funcional de la oclusión, desnudar hallazgos y guías para el enmarque diagnóstico y el proseguir terapéutico de nuestros pacientes.
