Calidad médica: factores sobre los que hay que intervenir

Abstract

RESUMEN

Fundamento: se efectuó la presente comunicación en el año 2008 para mostrar algunos factores que influyen en la asistencia médica y en el logro de una medicina de excelencia. Se señalaron los errores que con más frecuencia se realizan en la práctica médica tales como: el abandono del método clínico, la falta de conocimiento médico, la práctica de una medicina defensiva y la actitud autoproteccionista de algunos médicos, el reto que demanda el fenómeno de la complejidad y la incertidumbre y la no implantación del círculo de la calidad entre otros factores. Se muestra el camino correcto para erradicar estos errores y los desafíos que deben enfrentar el colectivo médico en el siglo XXl. Se debe tener conciencia de la imposibilidad de resolver los problemas desde un solo paradigma disciplinario, por lo que es preciso estar abierto al trabajo cooperativo, a la investigación y a la sinergia con los demás y exhortamos por la utilización mesurada de todos los avances logrados por la ciencia y la técnica.
