Abstract

RESUMEN

Fundamento: la artrofibrosis de la Rodilla o pérdida del movimiento articular después de una traumatismo o intervención quirúrgica es una de las complicaciones de más difícil manejo en esta articulación.
Desarrollo: se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre la artrofibrosis de la rodilla una de las complicaciones más devastadoras de esta articulación. Proponemos varias clasificaciones para enfocar y brindar pronóstico. Analizamos los factores de riesgo y como influyen en el desarrollo de esta enfermedad. En el diagnóstico resaltamos la importancia del diagnóstico precoz así como las causas de pérdida del movimiento articular en flexión y extensión. Con relación al tratamiento destacamos la importancia de la prevención de esta complicación mediante la rehabilitación inmediata y mostramos las variantes quirúrgicas más usadas en la actualidad para el tratamiento de esta enfermedad enfatizando en la cirugía mediante pequeñas incisiones.
