Reacciones adversas a medios de contrastes yodados

Abstract

RESUMEN

Fundamento: la irrupción en la circulación endovenosa de una sustancia extraña al cuerpo humano, no siempre es totalmente inocua y puede producir reacciones no deseables o inesperadas. Cuando estas reacciones generan manifestaciones clínicas, se consideran como adversas.
Desarrollo: se realizó un estudio de revisión sobre los contrastes radiológicos, patogenia de sus reacciones adversas, tipos de eventos que se suceden, grupos de riesgo, diagnóstico y conducta a seguir.
Conclusiones: finalmente se consideran los medios de contraste radiológicos sustancias de moléculas complejas, ampliamente utilizados y diversas consecuencias clínicas no deseadas, consecutivas a su administración que pueden evaluarse con la identificación de grupos de riesgo.
