Calidad de la atención médica a la cardiopatía isquémica en un área de salud

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal sobre la evaluación de la calidad de la atención médica a una muestra de 159 pacientes con cardiopatía isquémica, atendidos por médicos de familia del Policlínico Julio A. Mella del municipio Camagüey en el año 2004. Se estudiaron variables como el número y calidad de consultas al año, número y calidad de visitas al hogar al año, adherencia al tratamiento y control del paciente. Se le realizó el número de consultas establecidas al 69, 81 % de los pacientes y al 81, 51 % el número adecuado de visitas al hogar. Sólo el 6, 92 % de los pacientes estaba adherido al tratamiento no farmacológico. Teniendo en cuenta el número de controles en consulta realizado a estos pacientes y la altísima cifra de pacientes no adheridos al tratamiento no farmacológico, se concluyó que aún no se ha alcanzado la óptima calidad de la atención médica de esta enfermedad por el equipo básico de salud.
