Hallazgos ergométricos en pacientes prehipertensos e hipertensos de consulta externa

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo para conocer los hallazgos ergométricos en pacientes prehipertensos e hipertensos atendidos en consulta externa de Medicina Interna del Hospital Provincial Manuel Ascunce Domenech, de Camagüey durante el año 2005. El universo ascendió a 70 pacientes, a los cuales se les aplicó una encuesta con las variables seleccionadas según criterios bibliográficos: cifras de tensión arterial y hallazgos ergométricos (isquemia miocárdica, arritmias y respuesta presora al esfuerzo). Los datos se procesaron mediante el programa estadístico Microstat. No hubo predominio en cuanto a cifras tensionales previa al examen ergométrico; en cuanto a los hallazgos ergométricos las arritmias representaron el 40 %, mientras que la isquemia miocárdica el 11, 4 %; la respuesta presora ligera al esfuerzo fue la más frecuente con el 48, 6 %. La hipertensión arterial estadio 2 se asoció con mayor frecuencia a isquemia miocárdica y arritmias y la respuesta presora ligera se presentó en más de la mitad de los pacientes prehipertensos e hipertensos estadio 1.
