Cirugía plástica periodontal a través de la técnica Bilaminar y matrices alodérmicas

Abstract

RESUMEN

Fundamento: el cubrimiento de recesiones gingivales es una terapia frecuente en periodoncia. La técnica bilaminar que incluye un injerto de tejido conectivo muestra resultados predecibles a largo plazo, sin embargo, muchos pacientes presentan recesiones múltiples que requieren tratamiento, y la anatomía del paladar puede limitar la cantidad de tejido autógeno que se necesita, lo que restringe el número de procedimientos que se pueden realizar. Existen pacientes que no desean tener un trasplante adicional de tejido obtenido del paladar, debido al incremento del dolor y morbilidad asociados con múltiples procedimientos quirúrgicos. El empleo de aloinjertos dérmicos resuelve tal situación y representa un abundante recurso de material para casos que demandan grandes cantidades de injerto tísular.
Caso clínico: se presentan dos casos de pacientes con escasa banda de encía insertada y queratinizada, además de recesiones múltiples. En el primer caso se empleó la técnica bilaminar y en el segundo se empleó un aloinjerto de matriz dérmica acelular.
